Velankani purchased 2.5 acres of land in the world class Mahindra SEZ, Chennai, to custom-build a manufacturing facility with infrastructure consisting of electric power, standby power, air conditioning, compressed air, STP and overall design and implementation of the shop floor and office interiors.

This facility was constructed in a record time of five months in the year 2005 under the name of Nera Electronics, an electronics manufacturing unit, headquartered in Singapore and primarily catering to the telecom sector.

SEM India:
Velankani Information Systems is building an Assembly and Test Facility (ATMP) for SEM India in the Fab City Development, Hyderabad. This will be constructed on a 20 acre site. The function of this facility is to provide the final assembly and testing of micro electronic devices in a controlled environment. The site can house 2 ATMP buildings each totalling 30,784sqm of built up area. The 2 ATMP buildings shall be supported with regard to sevices by a CUB (Central Utilities Building). The project shall be developed in 2 phases.
